The recipe for basic bake mix or protein bread which can be substituted for bake mix is as follows:
Protein bread:
3 eggs separated, room temp
2 tablespoons sour cream
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup Soya powder
1 tablespoon baking powder
Preheat oven to 350*
Combine egg yolks with all other ingredients. Mix well. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture. Put into buttered pan and bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until golden. Store in refrigerator.
Basic pancakes:
1/2 cup soy powder
3 eggs
1/2 cup water
1/4 tsp salt
Cooking oil
Combine first 4 ingredients in a blender.
Heat 8 inch omelet pan or skillet covered in oil. When oil is piping hot, add 3 tbsp. of batter. Spread evenly in pan. Sauté quickly one side then the other. These pancakes can be used as a base for cannelloni, lasagna, blintzes. Even pizza. Total grams 12.0 grams per serving; 2 net carbs
